Megan Mikuen '19 | Melbourne, Fla.

I am grateful for my time at Hill because I’m a better person now because of my experiences. I’m proud of who I’ve developed into, and I know that I’ll always have a second home no matter where I end up.

Hill activities: Prefect, Hobart’s Run Student Leadership Committee, Pottstown CARES, DECA Chapter President, Chess Club, Varsity Lacrosse, Varsity Water Polo, JV Ice Hockey

Fondest Hill memories: Helping Dining hall staff squeegee out water from the temporary dining hall on a Friday night after a really wet storm with some friends. Learning how to skate for the first time as a member of the Second Varsity Puck ( JV ice hockey) team.

Favorite Hill tradition: Halloween Seated Dinner. I love seeing everybody’s costumes and it was especially fun to dress up as Noah’s Arc with the water polo team my fifth form year.

Favorite Dining Hall meal: Red Meat Dinner (flank steak, mashed potatoes, and green beans

What I’ll miss. . .  sitting with my friends for hours on end in the Dining Hall every week. We talk, people watch, joke around, and forge our friendships surrounded by amazing art and beautiful wood paneling.

My Hill experience taught me . . . how to be proactive. I’ve learned that If you want something to happen, you have the power to do it. This lesson even led me to create the Student Leadership Committee of Hobart’s Run.

Future plans. . . I will attend the University of Miami and major in business administration. After college, I plan on earning an MBA or JD, and working in economic development in the non-profit sector.
